Intel and Purdue Join INCITS Executive Board

Washington, DC - March 21, 2002 - The InterNational Committee for Information Technology Standards (INCITS) announced today that Intel Corporation and Purdue University have joined the Executive Board. INCITS, which is accredited by the American National Standards Institute, has produced some of the most well-known IT standards, including programming languages and SQL.

"Intel and Purdue have brought great technical strength to INCITS standards development program, and we are delighted they will now assume a leadership role as well," said Karen Higginbottom, Chair of the INCITS Executive Board and Director, Standards Initiatives, Hewlett-Packard Corporation.
