NCITS Announces the Public Review Comment Period for the Registration of NCITS/TR-22, Object Model Technical Report as an ANSI Technical Report

Washington D.C., January 1998 - NCITS (National Committee for Information Technology Standards) is announcing the public review comment period for the registration of NCITS/TR-22, Object Model Technical Report as an ANSI Technical Report. Development of this draft standard is being done in Technical Committee H7, Object Information Management.
The public review extends from January 16, 1998 to February 17, 1998.
The technical report contains the results of a technical group's study of the Object Paradigm. The following areas were explored:
- Interoperable Object Model
- External Representations of Object Model Schema and Data
- Object Class Libraries
- Object Languages
- Object Communications and Distribution
- Object Design and Methodologies
- Other Object Data Management Services
The final report contains a section on "Features Matrix Application", including Object Query Language Harmonization and Analysis.
