Update on ICMS Implementation
 

The INCITS Secretariat has transitioned all membership data to the new system. Only the new system has been used in 2009.

Invoicing
Invoices for 2010 will be generated from the new system with a 60-day due date. The invoices are emailed to principal members using the automated send feature of the system.  The email will include a link to download the invoice (the invoice cannot be attached to the email). For 2010, the automatic late notice feature will be activated and if the invoice is not paid by its due date, the member will get a 30-day final notice. After the 90-day invoice period, all unpaid members will be deactivated from the system unless arrangements have been made in advance with the Secretariat.

The following committees have been transitioned and are currently using the system:

Training Sessions
Training sessions are conducted by the Secretariat via webinar. For each committee, training sessions are first conducted with the officers.  Training of committees is being conducted as needed or requested.

Mailing Lists
The first step of a committee's transition has been the change to the new mailing lists established for each group.

System Upgrade
The upgrade of the system become effective on August 13, 2009.  The delays with the implementation of the upgrade has slowed the transition for the TCs mostly due to the changes in the design of the site.  Now this upgrade is complete, the migration of the remaining TCs can proceed.

Open Issues/Customization

  • Ballot System – main issue is confidentiality of open ballot tallies and comments
  • Membership Sign-in Sheet and Acknowledgment of INCITS Procedures Check Box - full automation
