B11 - Optical Digital Data Disks

Technical Committee B11 is working on physical and recording standards for the interchange of removable optical media used for digital data storage. There are several projects covering different types and sizes of media.

Due to the large volume of projects assigned to B11 since its inception, many proposed standards have moved from either "D" or "I" status to "M" status. In addition, B11 maintains "L" status for standards being developed in other standards organizations such as ECMA.

This technical committee is the U.S. TAG to ISO/IEC JTC 1 SC23 and provides recommendations on U.S. positions to the JTC 1 TAG.
